I'm not looking for a job....

but I saw this job posting on another online forum. I have never applied for a ministry job so I don't look at these things but this is crazy.

Job Title Senior Pastor

Part-Time Position

Description The Senior Pastor is responsible for leading this body to function as a New Testament church. The Senior Pastor will lead the congregation, organizations and church staff to perform their tasks. The Senior Pastor is leader of pastoral ministries in the church. As such, he works with the deacons and church staff to: lead the church in achievement of our mission, proclaim the Gospel to believers and unbelievers, and care for the church’s members and other persons in the community.

Requirement The pastor of _______ Baptist Church is a seminary graduate with 7-14 years of pastoral experience in a suburban setting. His primary strength is in preaching and teaching


Compensation $15,000


Seminary Graduate, 7-14 years experience, able to lead a staff, proclaim the gospel to lost, take care of the saved, teach, take care of the church people and the community all for a big salary of $15,000.

Is this normal?
Someone needs to give these people a wake up call.
